I explore and celebrate the intricacies of Black identity through personal narratives and ideologies. My artistic expression involves portraying cinematic scenes from my past and present reality. Growing up in a predominantly Black neighborhood, I delve into my memories, seeking to recreate moments that evoke a profound sense of nostalgia for viewers. Innovation is a constant pursuit for me, always searching for fresh ways to breathe life into my ideas.
Lately, I have been experimenting with perspective, capturing scenes from different angles from above, beneath, and through the lens of our common vision. Additionally, I have been deconstructing sneakers, integrating them into my artwork to allow viewers to step into my shoes, both literally and metaphorically. My work invites viewers to not only observe these experiences but also to feel what it's like to be part of my broader community, offering glimpses into the lived reality of being Black in America.
